SIConit is a silicon carbide composite material designed for the repair and protection of surfaces exposed to erosion, abrasion, and corrosion within a pH range of 0 to 14.
SIConit has a very high silicon carbide content for use in extremely abrasive operational conditions where complex and costly repairs are the norm. The compound can either be used to completely rebuild worn metal surfaces or be used as a preventative coating, often outperforming the original metal in terms of abrasive stability. SIConit can be used in place of metal applications, tiling, rubber backing, etc
It is suitable for applications involving temperatures up to 100°C. The composite consists of a high proportion of silicon carbide combined with a cold-curing epoxy resin, making it ideal for restoring damaged metal surfaces or serving as a protective coating.
